LDS Tour Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Dublin, Ireland (Friday May 13)
Arrive at Dublin airport (DUB), no later than Noon. Today we will tour Dublin city. We will visit Trinity college, the home of the Book of Kells.  We will also see St. Patrick's Cathedral.  This evening there will be a meet and greet. Followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 2 - Belfast

This morning we will depart for Belfast.  On our way we will visit Newgrange, a prehistoric passage tomb, built around 3200BC.  This makes it older than both Stonehenge and the pyramids.  When we arrive in Belfast we will visit Titanic Belfast, the world's largest Titanic visitors attraction, located in the very slipway that the ship was built in.

Day 3 - Giant's Causeway
Today we will drive along the North Antrim Coast, where we will visit The Giant's Causeway.  These hexagonal basalt columns are the subject of many legends.  This afternnoon, we will visit Dunluce Castle, which is located on top of a shear seaside cliff.

Day 4 - Galway 

We will depart for Galway via Drumcliffe and Sligo.  On arrival in Galway, we will tour the ancient city including, Eyre Square, the Latin quarter and Quay street, with its lively street performers.

Day 5 - Kylemore Abbey 
Today we will travel through the spectacular Inagh Valley on our way to Kylemore Abbey.  Kylemore is nestled at the base of Duchruach mountain on the northern shore of Lough Pollacappul, in the heart of the Connemara mountains.  It is regarded as Ireland's most romantic building.  Return to Galway City.

Day 6 - Galway to Killarney
This Morning, we will drive down the Atlantic seaboard on our way to Killarney.  Our route will take us past Galway bay, Dunguaire Castle, and the fishing village of Kinvarra.  We will also see the Burren, which is Gaelic for rocky land.  We will visit the dramatic cliffs of Moher and stroll down the charming village streets of Adare.

Day 7 - Ring of Kerry
Today we will set off on the world famous Ring of Kerry (Iveragh Pennisula), with its magnificient views.  After lunch at The Blind Piper Pub, we will continue our drive past the lakes of Killarney and a stop at Torc Waterfall.  Free time in Killarney town this evening.

​Day 8 - Blarney & Kilkenny Castles
Our first stop of the day is at Blarney Castle, the home of legendary Blarney Stone.  You can kiss it if you would like.  After lunch, we will also stop at Kilkenny castle.  Construction started on this castle in 1260.

Day 9 -  Monastery & Powerscourt Gardens

​This morning, we will travel through the wicklow mountains and visit St. Kevin's Monastery in Glendalough.  This afternoon we will visit Powerscourt Gardens, one of the finest gardens in all of Ireland.

Day 10 - Depart for home (Sunday May 22)

Today sadly you must say goodbye to your new friends and this beautiful country and return home. We will transfers to the Dublin airport  (DUB), for your flight home. (B)
